Internship Program

Vision

We desire to be a multiplying church. A church where gifted men and women are mobilized and equipped to be ministry leaders in secular and large urban cultural contexts.

Our program strives to provide a well-rounded internship experience by complementing an intern’s theological education with practical ministry experience in 1) preaching & teaching, 2) leading & organizing and 3) shepherding & counselling.

TYPES OF INTERNSHIP

To accommodate our interns in various stages of life and with differing ministry gifts and calling, we offer three types of internships. Our goal is to provide each intern with a generalist ministry foundation (e.g., teaching, leadership, discipling) and opportunities to hone their specialist gifts and calling (e.g., small groups, youth ministry, young adults, mercy, discipleship groups, worship, administration).

FUNDING

We require all halftime and full time interns to raise their own financial support. Successful applicants may also receive funding from Grace Toronto Church if available. The amount of financial support is based on the needs of each individual intern and must be approved by the Executive Director. Successful internship applicants will receive training and coaching during their fundraising process.
