Vocation Week (Oct. 25-27)

The Grace Centre for Faith and Work is excited to announce that this year's Vocation Week will consists of three lectures by Dr. Steve Garber. Dr. Garber is the principle of the Washington Institution for Faith, Vocation and Culture. Dr. Garber has dedicated his life to helping Christians reframe the way people understand the intersection of faith, vocation, cultures, economies and cities. He has lectured around the world and contributed to many books on faith and vocation. Small groups will be canceled this week.

Please note that all events are held at Grace Toronto Church (383 Jarvis Street) and will run from 7:30pm - 9pm.

Oct. 25 - i. How Does our Faith Shape our Vocation? Faith and the Common Good
Oct. 26 - ii. How Does our Vocation Shape our Culture? Vocation and the Common Good
Oct. 27 - iii. Can Christians Still Love their Work in this City? Working with Hope and the Common Good

More about Steven Garber

Steven Garber is the principal of The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation & Culture, which is focused on reframing the way people understand life, especially the meaning of vocation and the common good. A consultant to foundations, corporations and educational institutions, he is a teacher of many people in many places. The author of The Fabric of Faithfulness: Weaving Together Belief and Behavior, and Visions of Vocation: Common Grace for the Common Good, he is also a contributor to the books, Faith Goes to Work: Reflections from the Marketplace, and Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalogue. He lives with his wife Meg in Virginia.
