Faith & Work Talk: The Art of Holy Subversion

Grace Centre for Faith & Work presents a two-part series exploring God’s calling for us as Christians in the workplace and what that looks like practically. Our speaker, Dr. Lester Liao will help us consider these questions thoughtfully as a community. Dr Liao is a pediatric rheumatology fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children, Director of the community organization Common Pursuits, and attends Grace Toronto Church with his family.

Wednesday, Nov 18 (7-8 PM): “Christianity in a Secular Age”
What does it mean to be a Christian and love our secular neighbours and workplaces? This session considers the rationale of why we should care about this question.

Wednesday, Nov 25 (7-8 PM): “The Art of Holy Subversion”
Jesus often gave unexpected answers. He was not what his contemporaries expected him to be. This second session considers the practical matters around sharing beliefs in a world that often expects Christians to be intolerant.
